A study led by Mayo Clinic has found that infliximab (Remicade®) administered alone (monotherapy) or in combination with azathioprine is a more effective treatment for patients with moderate to severe Crohn’s disease than azathioprine alone. A study conducted by researchers at Mayo Clinic shows that obese patients with specific genetic make-up had enhanced response to the weight loss drug sibutramine, while others who lack these genetic factors lost little or no weight.
