on 18th July 2011, my gp examined me because i was breathless, he sent me straight to a&e and they admitted me, my heart beat was 180 beats a min, and I was very swollen in legs and tummy with excess fluids, to cut a long story short i was admitted for 4 days, given various scans and tests and drugs, then released, i was told i had AF and my LVEF OF 25% i have no evidence of abstructive sleep apnoea or central sleep apnoea. My echo cardiogram showed severe dilatation of the right atrium and globally impaired left ventricular function. i also had irregular heart rhythm. They took me off Ramipril due to the severe cough it gave me, there is no history of asthma, copd, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack or stroke in the family. I have no bladder or bowel problems. I have never smoked. I consumer the average alcohol intake which is safe to take. I suffer from right hip arthritis which is 60% good, although it severely restricts my mobility, injections do help slightly.
I had a cardioversion carried out on me on 21st August 2012 my heart rate was 55/min with a blood pressure of 106/70mmHg. on 14th Sept 2012 i underwent a 24 hour heart beat monitor they say my sinus rhythm remains the same, with a heart rate ranging from between 46-89bpm with several extra beats, some of them happening in alternating fashion or one in three fasion (bigeminy or trigeminy) one episode happened in runs of 4 beats.
My current medication is as follows:-
1mg warfarin, 1 25mg spironolactone, 1 40mg Simvastatin, 2 16mg Candesartan cilexetil, 1 4mg Candesartan cilexetil, 2 40mg Furosemide, 1 10mg Bisoprolol Fumarate, Even thou the heart consultant has only seen me once in 18months, she has decided to discharge me and send me out to the community heart failure nurse who wanted me in november 2012 to come off the warfarin, but my gp said NO way, i must stay on it. I feel i had to write, because I feel I am not getting the attention from the professional medical profession, your advise please

    Kind regards

    Tony

  2. First of all I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in
which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find
out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.

I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting
my ideas out there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or tips? Many thanks!
