John Noseworthy, M.D., Mayo Clinic president and CEO, gave his perspective on health care during a news briefing today.
“While there certainly has not been sufficient time for deep analysis, I did want to quickly share some of Mayo Clinic’s perspective on today’s Supreme Court decision regarding healthcare. As you know, Mayo Clinic does not take positions on political issues, legislative bills and the like and will not be taking a position on the Supreme Court decision today,” Dr. Noseworthy says. ”There is no doubt that this decision will be historic in terms of its impact on jurisprudence and the dynamic between the different branches of the federal government. However, I am equally confident that the vision for Mayo Clinic’s future and the subsequent path we have been navigating over the past few years will not change. A copy of his full remarks is below:

John, thank you for your question. We will look into this and get back to you.
Has Mayo reached any conclusions regarding the healthcare questions raised in the initial posting?
Mayo Clinic and Dr. Wharen in Neurosurgery gave me back my life in December 2007. After almost 4 years of searching for a Dr. who could help me, I found my answer at Mayo within a few days. I am forever grateful. Thank you.
