Mayo Clinic has created a comprehensive mobile health application; combining a custom mobile experience with unparalleled expertise and access. Empowering patients with information at their fingertips, this app sets a new standard for health care apps.
The Mayo Clinic patient app provides patients and consumers access to health information and management tips from Mayo’s Web and on-line publications, a list of clinical trials at Mayo, and links to request an appointment at any of our locations.
For a Mayo Clinic patient, the functionality is personalized, providing secure access to their medical record, an up-to-date appointment schedule, lab results and navigation to amenities on Mayo Clinic campuses as well as in the community.
“Mayo Clinic has always put the needs of patients first, and we built this mobile health application based on what our patients said they would find useful to enhance the way they connect with us,” says Sidna Tulledge-Scheitel, M.D., vice dean of eHealth, Mayo Clinic. “Mayo Clinic is now literally an in-your-pocket resource for people across the world, extending beyond our walls and following them wherever they go.”
The Mayo Clinic Patient app is available in the Apple iTunes store. For more information or to download the app visit: https://mabemmcu.mayo.edu/PatientApp

Too bad they don’t invest in the PATIENTS they harm for life…
Who cares about apps when what they need to worry more about is taking care of their patients and being more thorough without taking a lifetime to diagnose.

Why iPhone/iPad? I use Android for both my phone and tablet. When is there going to be an Android version of this and why are you discriminating against non-Apple users?
The Android app is in the works.
When will that be? It is now December and still no apps for android.

We’re checking on an answer for you.
That is as reassuring as “the check odds in the mail.” Can you give is a progress report? “In the works” tells is nothing. How about a bit more detail? There are a lot of patients who use Android devices. Please make this a priority and please let is know the status, and anticipated release date. I for one
would be happy to test it and/or pay a reasonable price for it.
As of today the Android app is scheduled to be available for download in late 2012. Thanks for offering to be a Beta tester but as of right now we are covered.
I am inquiring about the Android app update?? I too have an Android phone and tablet…..this way I will not have to borrow my child’s ipod
Huge big ups on this first release.. The medical records visualization graphing is empowering… The digital schedule is terrifically powerful – and hopefully will soon provide the option to opt out of the many paper schedules that have been mailed to our home in CA. This really is a huge step in the right direction and has already made my experience easier – caring for my father as he goes through a difficult process to hopefully get a liver transplant. Thanks to the dev team and everyone involved!
Please send email when android app is ready
Where is the Android app? The whole world is NOT Apple!
As of today, the Android app is scheduled to be available for download in late 2012.
could you let me know when android app will be ready ? thank you
When can we expect to see an Android version? If I remember correctly, one model of the Galaxy alone outsells the iPhone by at least 3-4 times the units. The Android presence of all the phones and tablets dwarfs the base of Apple units and needs to be supported.
