Mayo Clinic’s first live broadcast from a national medical conference is now history.
Medical Edge Radio — hosted by Dr. Tom Shives and Tracy McCray — debuted from the Mayo booth on the exhibit floor here at the Orlando Convention Center. Attending ophthalmologists stopped to watch as the show worked its way through such topics as contact lenses, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
The guests included the President-Elect of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Paul Sternberg, Jr., of Vanderbilt University Medical School, as well as AAO former trustee, Dr. George Bartley of Mayo, and Drs. Keith Baratz and James Garrity.
The broadcast kicked off three days of presentations and lectures by Mayo Clinic ophthalmologists and coverage by our media staff. Watch for subsequent YouTube interviews and blog posts.
