A recent study, lead by Gina Hesley, M.D., Mayo Clinic radiologist, found that MR-guided focused ultrasound is a noninvasive treatment option that can be used to effectively and safely treat uterine fibroids and deliver significant and lasting symptom relief for at least 12 months.
