Hello, my name is Nic Dobbins and I`m a graduate student at the Information School at the University of Washington in Seattle (coincidentally I was also born and raised in Rochester). I`m currently working on a project on information exchange and office design in clinical settings, and I`m interested in the layout of Mayo offices (administrative, etc.) and the effect this layout has on communication between employees.
To be precise, I`d like to know whether Mayo uses partitions between employees in a cubicle-style open office (and if so, how tall the partitions are), or a more open workstation or team-space style layout (for example, several info-technology companies I have spoken to overseas group employees in larger desk arrangements without partitions between them to facilitate information exchange).
Of course, if I could receive a reply directly from the person in charge of deciding office layouts it would be extremely helpful, but otherwise even a simple explanation of the layout and the rationale behind it would be fine.
Thank you for your time, and please let me know if there is any further information which I may provide.
Sincerely,
Nic Dobbins

Hello,
My name is Chloe Neisler I am a Junior at Illinois College and am doing an in depth presentation on the Mayo Clinic, for my Business Communication class. I was wondering if at possible, I could be connected with someone who would be willing to have a phone interview with me. I have 4 questions that I will be asking that will pertain to 4 business communication concepts. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Chloe Neisler
We are checking on this.
