Glencoe Motorcycle Riders Support Children’s Hospital

On Saturday, July 19 a motorcycle group from Glencoe, Minn., presented a donation to Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital. Matt and Scott Conklin of Glencoe first organized this fund-raising bike rally last year.
Funds were raised through a silent auction in Glencoe, as well as donations from local businesses and riders’ donations.

Heart Attack and Sleep Apnea Study

Researchers at Mayo Clinic have discovered that patients with obstructive sleep apnea have an increased risk of having a heart attack between typical sleeping hours — 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. The results of the novel research will be published in the July 29 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
